Volta NYC
I’m thrilled to be exhibiting work with Vellum Projects at Volta NYC!
About: VOLTA debuted in Basel in 2005 as an art fair collaboration between dealers and friends. The aim was to secure a platform for international galleries beyond young art fair Liste and market heavyweight Art Basel. VOLTA’s New York fair followed in 2008, offering a solo and boutique alternative to the crowded trade show tradition of Armory Week in March. Concerns and aspirations of the exhibiting galleries have been of the utmost importance since VOLTA’s inception, resulting in eclectic and dynamic solo presentations and multiple artists in curated conversations.
In autumn 2019, Ramsay Fairs acquired VOLTA, sparking fresh ideas toward future editions. Under the new leadership of Kamiar Maleki and with editions in New York and Basel, VOLTA builds the foundation and platform for younger galleries to participate in the art markets’ major cities.
In 2022, VOLTA Art Fairs returns to New York during Frieze Week from May 18 to 22 at 548 West 22nd Street, the former Dia Building and Hauser & Wirth gallery space.
Armed Services YMCA 160th Anniversary: Auction at the Angels of the Battlefield Awards Presentation
I am proud to have donated two works to the Armed Services YMCA for their Auction at the Angels of the Battlefield Awards
Established in 2006, the Armed Services YMCA hosts the only awards program of its kind – honoring military medics, corpsmen and pararescuemen – representing all five branches of the U.S. Armed Services.
Each year, five Angels are recognized and applauded for their selfless courage and unwavering sacrifice while saving lives on the front lines overseas or during emergency situations here at home. The ASYMCA also presents a special Angel of Honor award to an individual or organization demonstrating distinguished and extraordinary service or advancement of the mission.
We are forever grateful to our honorees and all military medical personnel—our Angels, our Heroes—who serve so bravely and save the lives of soldiers and civilians across the country and around the globe.
